SprachCamp – What Should I Expect?
The SprachCamp is a concept we developed here at SprachenInsel, combining learning, sports, games, and fun to encourage children to learn and improve their German. The SprachCamp is offered during the autumn, winter, Easter, Pentecost, and summer breaks. It runs daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This program is the perfect combination of learning and fun, immersing children in the German language and culture for a week. By making learning enjoyable, children not only retain the language more effectively but also stay motivated to continue practicing We use engaging and interactive materials that spark students’ natural curiosity and make learning enjoyable, fostering long-term motivation. Our focus is not on grades or assessments. Instead, we create an environment where students can explore, practice, and improve their German in a relaxed and supportive setting. ● We do not rely on pre-set vocabulary lists or rigid learning standards. Instead, students learn strategies to navigate and understand new and unfamiliar words. This approach helps them become more independent learners and develop greater language competence. ● The structured German classes take place daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After a lunch break, students have the opportunity to work on a group project, allowing them to practice and explore their German creatively and freely in small teams. ● After project work, we begin our sports program, which includes a mix of games such as baseball, flag football, dodgeball, and Capture the Flag. ● Twice a week, we also offer an extended canoe tour and a climbing workshop led by certified instructors. The majority of our sports activities focus on teamwork, helping students develop collaboration skills and team spirit. Encouraging fair play is one of our top priorities! ● Our teachers have extensive experience playing, coaching, and refereeing the sports we offer, ensuring expert instruction and a fun learning environment. ● Children do not need any prior experience for any of our afternoon games or activities. Everything is explained thoroughly so that all children can learn and explore new sports with confidence. ● The highlight of our summer camp is the canoe tour—a refreshing break from the summer heat. As always, safety is our number one priority, and all activities are supervised by professional instructors. A week at SprachCamp is not just about classes and learning but also about fun games and exciting activities. By combining education with engaging experiences, we encourage children to learn and appreciate the German language even more. Duration:
